During the summer months, many inner-city children lose access to school-provided meals and the predictability and support of a regular school schedule. Gifts for All God’s Children steps in to provide regular meals for the children, Bible lessons, and engaging, fun and educational programming.
Summer Camp
Gifts For All God’s Children provided four weeks of in-person camp along with transportation to one week of sports camp. The fourth week of the in-person camp featured a special STEAM curriculum. The STEAM week was a favorite with the children, as they worked in groups to solve problems using technology. We can’t wait to repeat this program again next year!
Every child who attended Summer Camp received a nutritious meal each day, prepared and served by generous volunteers.
Field Trips
Family Field Trips are an exciting part of summer camp! Each child and their family were able to attend field trips to a Detroit Tigers game, Belle Isle, St. Clair Metro Park and the Detroit Zoo.
Wildwood Ranch
We sponsored 14 children’s attendance at Wildwood Ranch, and provided each child with a sleeping bag, beach towel, hygiene kit, Bible and more! The time away at Wildwood Ranch, a nondenominational Christian camp, is transformative for the children as they engage with positive mentors and experience the great outdoors. Every child who has attended hopes they will be able to go again next year!
Back to School Photos
Each child had a school photo taken and received a photo package to share with their families, as a generous gift from Kaiser Studios. We are so grateful we were able to bless the children and their families with this special gift!
