In 1987, Gifts For All God’s Children began at Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, Michigan as an advent ministry to serve needy children. That year, 187 children from 3 Detroit churches received Christmas gifts. This outreach has expanded because people in churches, schools, organizations and businesses sponsor children, make donations or volunteer. In December 2024 more than 3,561 children received gifts picked out especially for them. Since 1987, the number of children served has reached more than 86,746! Sponsors in churches, schools and businesses purchased beautiful gifts and our “GFAGC Workshop” in Rochester provided thousands more. Large bags of gifts were distributed to the children at Christmas parties, after church services, or delivered to their homes. All of the gifts met needs and shared the love of Christ.
