On Saturday, April 30th, Gifts For All God’s Children participated in the 18th annual Family Feud held by Trinity Lutheran Church Community Care Committee in Utica. Thank you to everyone who supported us during this event—between ticket sales, auction items, and the prize money we brought home over $3,500! If you missed the festivities, keep reading for an overview.
GFAGC was one of six local charities that competed during the Family Feud. Have you watched an episode of Family Feud before? This event was structured similarly, and we all competed against each other to earn points.
Once the competition ended, the Feud champion would take home the prize money to donate to their organization. We are happy to announce that our team won the game and the prize!
Our outstanding team consisted of Patti Jacques, Jerry Jacques, John Zamzow, Carolyn Mudge, and Karen McClelland. The questions were tough, but our team excelled. During the fast money round, we earned triple points! We are thankful for their participation and support.
Although the main attraction was the Family Feud, every other aspect of the event was a success. The food was delicious and GFAGC had 42 items in the silent auction which was available during the main event. A massive shout out to everyone who donated auction items!
Special thanks go to Cheryl Schiller and Cheryl Filarski for being co-chairs of the auction, organizing auction items, and assembling the baskets! We also thank Carolyn Mudge and Karen McClelland who helped with the set-up.
Once again, God has blessed us significantly! None of this would have been possible without our fantastic team of volunteers and supporters and Trinity Lutheran Church. Thanks to everyone, over $3,500 will support local youth in need.
