When the pandemic closed all of our on-site programs for the children, we asked the Lord, “How can we still share Jesus & His Word with these kids?” After a successful 2 weeks of Virtual CKC Summer Camp on ZOOM, we found our answer –
VIRTUAL SUNDAY SCHOOL Sessions.
Sunday School Bags containing lessons & crafts for 12 weeks were prepared for the 72 children registering for Virtual SS.
The bags were distributed along with the School Backpacks on September 30th – just in time for our first Virtual SS session on October 4th. What a joy to see the sweet faces of children as they listen intently to the Video Bible Stories and join in singing the worship songs.
Sometimes we even have a few parents joining us.
Every Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 pm 25-35 children participate in the exciting SuperBook curriculum lessons filled with videos of Bible stories, Action songs, Scripture memory verses & crafts to help them remember the truths of God’s Word. Every lesson closes with prayers for children’s requests, The Lord’s Prayer & the Aaronic Blessing.
The greatest blessing has been our weekly connection to each of the 35 families as our SS team calls to remind them to join us each Sunday. Families are sharing their prayer requests along with praises for God’s goodness. We praise God for Bill Field who assisted us in using God’s gift of technology to share His Word.

What a Joy to teach Sunday School through ZOOM! Every Sunday afternoon we share Bible Lessons and Memory verses with students signing in online! By using Super Book videos, singing songs, & putting together
a craft, the Love of God is shared!! The Lord’s Prayer is taught each week as well as singing Aaron’s blessing from Numbers 6:24.
What a great time to share God’s Word! I’m so glad I get to be a part of this wonderful experience!

From a mom whose kids received backpacks & shoes
Shanita is the mother of 4 children from ages 4 through 9. She is also the guardian of her nephew, age 8. All 5 of the children were baptized in October 2019 at East Bethlehem. She is a single parent, trying to support her family through her job at a hospital, which is difficult due to health issues. She has heart surgery scheduled for December. Her kids are on Virtual Sunday School every week.
It’s so hard to raise my 5 kids all alone with no help from anyone else. East Bethlehem and Gifts For All God’s Children has really helped me a lot, especially this year. I had to stay home from work to watch my kids cause their school closed during the pandemic. My kids were going to use their old backpacks since I didn’t have enough money. Now they all have new backpacks and all the supplies they needed. I was so surprised when they told me I could pick out shoes at Meijer’s for all my kids. It really means a lot to me and my kids. I know it must be God.
