Our mission statement focuses on being a conduit of God’s love. We provide resources that focus on the needs of underserved children while connecting them to Jesus. Our Easter Bags and Buckets are one way of actively carrying out our mission, and this year was very successful. We could not have accomplished this without our fantastic team of donors, volunteers, churches, and participating organizations.
This Easter, we received donations of cross bracelets, candy, washcloth bunnies, hygiene products, buckets, small toys, and more! In addition, some churches and individuals chose to provide monetary donations that allowed us to purchase additional needed supplies. We thank the Lord for each donor and volunteer; thank you for your support!
Our team of volunteers—led by Marsha Bauer and her dedicated assistant Karen McClelland—worked tirelessly day and night to assemble 1,974 Easter Bags and Buckets for children from 30 different ministries in Southeast Michigan.
Throughout this process, our volunteers and partners focused on sharing Jesus’ love and the true meaning of Easter. This message was also shared during Easter Fairs, drive-by distributions, and at the churches.
One participating organization was the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren group. They participated in a curbside drive-thru event, allowing them to distribute our Easter Bags and Buckets safely. During this event, Legacy Consultants-Thrivent generously donated food. Other community sponsors also joined in during the festivities.
Also, this year, we had the opportunity to connect St. Lorenz Lutheran School in Frankenmuth to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Flint. For the first time ever, St. Paul was able to have an Easter Fair due to the generosity of St. Lorenz and our connection. God is so good and has a plan for everything!
We are thankful to everyone who partnered with us and helped make our 2022 Easter Bags and Buckets a success. Below, we have compiled a gallery featuring photos taken during the events. Thank you for helping us bless these children!
