Do YOU want to positively impact a child’s life this summer? Our Connecting Kids to Christ (CKC) 2022 Summer Bible Camps begin in July, but we need volunteers for week #3, August 1-4 at East Bethlehem in Detroit. Together, we can be a conduit of God’s generous love.
What is Summer Bible Camp?
At Gifts For All God’s Children, we passionately connect underserved children with God’s love and resources—our Summer Bible Camp is one such outreach program. Each year we partner with East Bethlehem Lutheran Church to host the camp in their facilities.
Children who attend are taught Bible lessons, play games, and create crafts, plus have computer time, lunch, and music—all in a structured and safe environment. We welcome all children ages 3–12 and need volunteers to assist with programs!
What does a volunteer do?
Great question! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available during summer camp—no matter your talents and abilities, there is sure to be a position for you.
Are you full of energy and love interacting with kids? You could be a great fit as a Small Group Leader! In this position, you will be assigned a group of 4–10 children and will bring them to each station—crafts, games, bible time, computers —and assist with each activity when needed.
No Small Group Leader is complete without their Small Group Assistant! You will be responsible for supporting the Small Group Leader when needed and offering another pair of hands during activities.
Do you love music? You might enjoy being the Music Leader! You will need to learn the music and motions and teach them to students each day of the camp. If that seems overwhelming, we also need music assistants. You will offer support to the Music Leader.
Are you artistically inclined and creative? We need a Craft Leader to help us brainstorm age-appropriate crafts and we also need Craft Assistants who can help children make the crafts.
If none of the above positions fit your gifts, not to worry! We also need Bible Teachers, Game Leaders, Registration, and someone to help serve food to hungry campers. For a full list of volunteer opportunities and to sign up, please contact email@example.com.
If you do decide to volunteer, we appreciate your support! Please note, all volunteers must attend a training meeting prior to helping with your assigned camp. The training date is August 1 at 9:00 am.
Have any questions? Want to begin your volunteer process? Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your continued support! If you are looking for other ways to positively impact children in Southeast Michigan, be sure to check out our upcoming event, Christmas In July. This event is one of our major fundraisers of the year and your participation makes sure that thousands of children are touched by the love of Jesus through our organization.
